Pinhawk is not trying to compete by adding every possible new feature. Its strength is taking proven ideas—single length, hybrid-based sets and specialty putter designs—and producing quality components that can be professionally custom built at a lower component cost than many premium alternatives.
Not every golfer needs the latest premium component to improve their game. Pinhawk has earned a place in my lineup because the quality is excellent, the designs are useful, and the components allow me to build clubs that fit the golfer while keeping the total investment more approachable.
Pinhawk components are generally priced below comparable premium component products, but they are not boxed-set clubs. The heads are intended for professional custom assembly using the shaft, grip, length, loft, lie and finished build specifications selected for the individual golfer.
Some all-hybrid and single-length sets are sold as fixed packages with one stock shaft, one grip and few meaningful options. Pinhawk heads are components designed to become individually specified golf clubs.
Traditional iron sets require many different club lengths and swing planes. Vertex simplifies that approach by using just two lengths: the 3, 4 and 5 irons share one length, while the 6 iron through the wedges share another.
This preserves more speed, launch and distance in the long irons while retaining much of the setup consistency that makes single-length irons attractive.
