Bang-O-Matic
The model most closely associated with Bang's long-drive success. Deep face, cup-face construction and proven beta-titanium performance.

Bang's designs helped establish the performance potential of deep faces, cup-face construction and premium beta-titanium materials. Newer products from other manufacturers may add thinner swing-speed-specific faces or adjustable hosels, but Bang continues to deliver excellent distance, forgiveness and durability at a more approachable price.

“Bang came on the market with a BANG in the Long Drive world in the early 2000s. They dominated the RE/MAX Long Drive Tour for several years. Their marketing never matched their performance, but today's products are still built on the same performance-driven designs that made the Bang-O-Matic one of the longest drivers in the world.”
— Tony Hood, TSH Golf
I view Bang as a proven-value option: premium materials, hand-built construction and real performance, without some of the newer adjustability and face-optimization features found in more expensive current designs.
A cup-face design moves the weld line away from the hitting area. That allows more of the face to flex, helping preserve ball speed and feel on impacts that are not perfectly centered. Combined with variable-thickness face design, it remains one of the reasons Bang drivers continue to perform well for everyday golfers.

The Bang lineup spans the historic Bang-O-Matic, lower-launch deep-face models, compact designs and the Spring Face Mini Driver. Each model should be evaluated as part of a complete build—not as a head-only decision.

Open Data SheetThe Bang-O-Matic remains the central story in the Bang lineup. Its deep-face, cup-face construction and long-drive record established the credibility that keeps the model relevant today. It does not offer every modern adjustment feature, but it remains a serious performance option—especially for golfers who value a bonded-hosel design and strong price-to-performance value.

The Storm uses an extra-deep face and higher center of gravity to reduce launch and spin. It is the Bang model to consider when the desired result is a flatter, more boring trajectory and additional forward roll.

The head is only one part of the finished driver. Shaft profile, playing length, loft, total weight, swingweight and grip must work together. TSH Golf builds each Bang club one at a time to the final agreed specifications and documents the finished build.
